GWForge.population_fisher.config

Configuration handling for gwforge_population_fisher.

Attributes

Functions

catalogue_settings(config[, section])

Read the [Catalogue] section.

cosmology_settings(config[, section])

Build the fiducial GWForge.cosmology.FlatwCDM.

build_model(config[, section])

Assemble the population model the config describes.

fit_settings(config[, section])

Which blocks to refit to the injections, and which to only check.

fisher_settings(config[, section])

Read the [Fisher] section.

output_settings(config[, section, label])

Read the [Output] section.

Module Contents

GWForge.population_fisher.config.BLOCKS = ('mass', 'redshift', 'spin', 'cosmology')[source]
GWForge.population_fisher.config.BLOCK_CLASSES[source]
GWForge.population_fisher.config.catalogue_settings(config, section='Catalogue')[source]

Read the [Catalogue] section.

Returns:

population_file, snr_file, detectors, snr_thresholds.

Return type:

dict

GWForge.population_fisher.config.cosmology_settings(config, section='Model')[source]

Build the fiducial GWForge.cosmology.FlatwCDM.

Return type:

GWForge.cosmology.FlatwCDM

GWForge.population_fisher.config.build_model(config, section='Model')[source]

Assemble the population model the config describes.

Parameters:
  • config (configparser.ConfigParser)

  • section (str)

Returns:

(model, blocks, sub_models, cosmology). sub_models maps block name to the source-frame model, which the fit stage needs even when the Fisher runs on the detector-frame wrapper.

Return type:

tuple

Raises:

ValueError – For an unknown block, or cosmology without mass and redshift.

GWForge.population_fisher.config.fit_settings(config, section='Fit')[source]

Which blocks to refit to the injections, and which to only check.

Returns:

Block name to bool.

Return type:

dict

GWForge.population_fisher.config.fisher_settings(config, section='Fisher')[source]

Read the [Fisher] section.

Returns:

free_parameters, fixed_parameters, configurations, score_method.

Return type:

dict

GWForge.population_fisher.config.output_settings(config, section='Output', label='population_fisher')[source]

Read the [Output] section.

Returns:

output_directory, label, plot_corner.

Return type:

dict
